Meet Alice, one of our "new momma" heifers. Alice had her first calf a few days before this photo was made. As I took her photo, she was very curious to see what I was doing up by her fence. That natural curiosity is one of my favorite cattle traits.

By the way...I'm the one who tends to name the cows. My husband, the farmer, looked at this photograph and said, "I'd never name a cow Alice." (Taken in a barn lot near Ashland, Missouri)
