Artist's Description

This bridge is on Green Valley Drive, spanning Hinkson Creek in Columbia, Missouri. The bridge, built in 1906 for $8200.00 by the Kansas City Bridge Company, was originally two spans, crossing the Lamine River, in nearby Cooper County, Missouri. In 1938 one of the spans was moved to its current location, and the other span was moved to a different location in Cooper County. The 171 foot bridge is no longer open to motor vehicles, but still offers a glimpse into the past.
