Shut-Ins are places where a river is narrowed by very hard rock that is resistant to erosion. The rushing water cascades over the granite at Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park, forming a natural water park. I had to arrive just as the state park opened for the day, in order to capture an image that didn't include people climbing on the rocks and enjoying the splashing water. (Reynolds County, Missouri)
