"Meramec Caverns Barn" -- At one time, Meramec Caverns advertised on hundreds of barn roofs and sides throughout Missouri, Illinois and other midwestern states. In the 1960s, barn roof advertising came under fire for it's "unsightliness," and legislation prohibiting new advertising was passed. This is one of the barns that was "grandfathered" in, and has been well maintained. Located in Missouri on I-70, near the Hatton exit.
Cricket Hackmann is a fine art photographer specializing in Missouri landscapes. As a farm wife and mother-of-two, Cricket Hackmann's love of photography began with documenting her children's days...and has expanded to become a means of holding on to a piece of all the beauty that surrounds us. Her goal is to produce vibrant, stunning images of the rural landscapes and close-ups of nature in central Missouri...with occasional other subjects included as they catch her eye.
