Description
Founded in 1834 in the Missouri River town of Nashville, Missouri, the original church was built of pecan logs. After the flood of 1844 destroyed the town of Nashville, the congregation moved their church up to higher ground, to a community now offically called Sapp, but known to the locals as Whoop Up...because farmers really had "whoop up" their mules to make it up the steep hill.
