As a mother's day surprise a few years ago, my hubby transplanted a few shovelfulls of these tiger lilies to their new home by our driveway. They were growing wild around the edges of one of the fields that he farms. The transplants taken off nicely, and start to bloom in early summer, just after many of the spring flowers have run their course.
