A still life arrangement of the makings of an apple pie. This particular collection contains several items that are very special to me. The pie plate and the rolling pin belonged to my husband's aunt...his "second mother." The tea towel was made and embroidered by a sister-in-law, and the silver pie server a gift from my parents, as was the sideboard they all sit on. All just inanimate objects, yet combined, they are like threads woven together into a blanket, providing comfort, and connection to those from whom they came.
