This photograph seemed to be a study in contradictions..the glorious light-filled cloud framed in the sky by the building storm clouds. One of those scenes that only exists for a few moments, and then it's gone. Even more interesting is the fact that even though this was happening at sunset, these clouds were in the eastern sky...more contradictions.

Cricket Hackmann is a fine art photographer specializing in Missouri landscapes. As a farm wife and mother-of-two, Cricket Hackmann's love of photography began with documenting her children's days...and has expanded to become a means of holding on to a piece of all the beauty that surrounds us. Her goal is to produce vibrant, stunning images of the rural landscapes and close-ups of nature in central Missouri...with occasional other subjects included as they catch her eye.
