This collage celebrates many of the wonderful reasons that I love "country living." The sights and smells of freshly mowed hay, a peaceful walk on a tree-covered lane, fresh country eggs and green beans from the garden. Life in the country reminds us that traditions are important...from keeping up the old barns because the new ones just aren't the same, to gathering on a Sunday morning at a small-town church. No matter the season, no matter the weather, I'm always grateful and feel blessed to live in the country.

As a farm wife and mother-of-two, Cricket Hackmann's love of photography began with documenting her children's days...and has expanded to become a means of holding on to a piece of all the beauty that surrounds us.
