My mother makes the best pies! As a little girl, watching her roll out pie crusts, I was always amazed at how deftly she she could roll out perfect circles of pastry. When I set up my own kitchen, she bought me a rolling pin, but when she realized I liked hers better, she gladly gave it to me, and I think of her each time I use it.
