Description
At top of a bluff overlooking what is now the Niangua Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks stands the ruins of the Ha Ha Tonka Castle. Construction on the castle began in 1905, and was completed in the early 1920s as a summer home for the Snyder family from Kansas City. The castle and nearby buildings on the complex were all destroyed by fire in the 1940s. (Ha Ha Tonka State Park, near Camdenton, Missouri)
